Harriette Mackenzie, a 2021 graduate of Mark Isfeld Secondary now playing for the Vancouver Island University Mariners, has been named a first team all-star and Pacific Western Athletic Association (PacWest) player of the year for women鈥檚 basketball.

More than 70 members of the Vancouver Island Biathlon Club competed at the B.C. championships Feb. 24-26 in Prince George.

Kye Kotapski-Tinga, a 2022 graduate from Mark Isfeld Secondary, is playing U Sports basketball for the St. Francis Xavier X-Men in Nova Scotia.

The event, hosted at Nk鈥橫ip Canyon Desert Golf Course, will see 128 golfers compete

The G.P. Vanier Towhees senior boys basketball team placed fifth at the 4A Island championships last week in Duncan.

After she recently learned to curl, Catherine Crockett wrote about her experience, entered a contest for National Curling Day (Feb. 25), and placed in the top 20.
