Though I no longer live in the Comox Valley I still have many people there that I care about. As our politicians dither in forming a government, taking the lead, in my new hometown of Victoria, four of our sons and daughters, aunts and uncles, moms and dads鈥� are dying of overdose deaths every day.

I believe that I have the right to choose MAiD 鈥� in fact I believe it is everyone鈥檚 right. What I cannot believe is how Glacier View Lodge is being portrayed by the media and some mis-informed public in regards to a possible partnership with Providence Health Care. I am distressed that Valerie Dyke, a former board member, can make comments about 鈥済iving a facility worth $12-20 million away to a faith-based organization.鈥� Glacier View Lodge is not being 鈥済iven away.
