Dear editor, In our recent water bill from Union Bay Improvement District (UBID) there was an announcement that Kensington Island Properties (KIP) and UBID lawyers were negotiating a water agreement.

Dear editor, Many homeless people have brain injuries or have mental health problems and as a result, normal routines of daily living are very difficult. I suffer from a brain injury and have trouble finding suitable housing.

Dear editor, For the first time in history the Canadian government has been found in contempt of Parliament. That is not something to brag about, even though the Harper Conservatives are trying to get us to think that a 鈥渞eckless鈥� coalition is worse.

Dear editor, Although we are being forced into another election, which no one likes, we should take advantage of the opportunity to throw out the Conservative party.

Dear editor, When I am asked why I am running for the Union Bay Improvement District trustee position, my response is always 鈥淚 would like to make some positive and forward-thinking changes in the community, and the only way to do that is to become involved at the board level.鈥�

Just what is a no-fly zone? Canada finds itself flying fighter jets over Libya (including one from 19 Wing Comox) enforce a UN-led no-fly zone 鈥� at first escorting other nations鈥� planes and more recently, running bombing raids on an ammunition dump.

Dear editor, Like Anne Davis (letter to editor March 22), I also support the Cliffe Avenue site for the new homeless shelter. A shelter downtown won鈥檛 draw the homeless and near homeless to downtown. They鈥檙e already there.

It didn鈥檛 take new Premier Christy Clark long to make her mark in Victoria.
