Dear editor,

Site C shows we need electoral reform

The thought that comes to mind when reading the viewpoint of Tom Fletcher on June 13 is that time has changed since the former premier W.A.C. Bennett. I remember an article about the Site C Dam in the local Sentinel in the September/October issue of 2016. This is a small part of it:

Over-population problems arise

It appears that it is when populations are on the move that issues related to over-population come into focus. As a result of the conflict in Syria, a number of countries have been confronted with these issues following the flood of refugees across their borders.

We need seniors’ beds, cardiac care

I was happy to see that Island Health has finally taken initiative to provide services for MAiD for people who do not want to pass away in a faith-based service institution. But, at the same time I am happy that we have had the services of St. Joseph’s in the Valley that has been willing to serve us. I had recently been in hospital and received excellent care.
