Dear editor,
Thrifty Foods would like to thank the community for their continued support for our East Courtenay development at the corners of Ryan and Lerwick roads.
As a proud member of your community since 1994, Thrifty Foods has been taking stock of the concerns brought forward by our future neighbours at Crown Isle over the proposed access point off of Bristol Way into the back of the new development.
That access point, originally proposed by Crown Isle, was intended for convenience of the residents, not as a general through-fare. However, given the very candid feedback of our nearest neighbours, we have advised both Crown Isle and the city that we will be removing car access from Bristol Way. Residents of Crown Isle will, however, be able to take advantage of a pedestrian friendly access from Bristol Way.
Balancing the needs of a successful development and those of the neighbourhood is our goal. With the change to the access point, with our commitment to an industry-leading environmental plan including some of the highest sustainability, noise abatement, energy and water management measures, and capped off with a contemporary west coast look, we look forward to serving you at this newest addition to our Thrifty Foods family soon.
As always, we welcome your feedback. Contact us at 800-667-8280 or through our website thriftyfoods.com at any time.
