Harper and Duncan have deficit-slashing plans to go after the income of our troops.
They are tampering with the Post Living Differential Allowance. This allowance helps our military personnel survive financially in high cost of living communities.
Harper and Duncan want 鈥渢o restrain (military) costs by $500-million this year鈥� and a $billion per year after that. 鈥淐hump change鈥� is what retired general Lewis Mackenzie calls it. And he鈥檚 right.
Harper and Duncan want to spend up to $125 million for each of 65 fighter jets, but don鈥檛 want to support the personnel who will fly and maintain these planes?
It is always a good photo-op for Harper to pose with our troops in Afghanistan, so why not support them and their families back home?
This deficit slashing is shameful.
