Youth volleyball starts soon in the Comox Valley

The Comox Valley Volleyball Club kicks off its 2019 season with an AGM and Information/Sign-up Night, Thursday, Nov. 15 in the Multipurpose Room at Highland Secondary, 750 Pritchard Rd. in Comox. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The North Island’s Schulte Racing Team (SRT) finished a respectable second place in the 2018 Canada West Doorslammers racing series, held at Mission Raceway Park. The Doorslammers is a fast drag class with cars capable of running at least 8.70 seconds in the 1/4 mile. The primary rule is that the cars must have working doors, hence “Doorslammers”. In other words, no dragsters.
