The Isfeld Junior Girls' Volleyball team placed first at the North Islands Championships that were held on Nov. 2.
The tournament was held at Carihi Secondary located in Campbell River.
The team defeated rival school teams from Kwalicum, Ballenas and Vanier on Friday finishing first in their pool.
Saturday they won their matches against Highland and Vanier which took them into the finals against Dover Bay. They won that match in two sets. The scores of the games were close, at 25-22 and 29-27.
MVP's of the tournament were awarded to Rebecca Guile, Mira Herschmiller, Samara Bell and Kenzie Brookshaw.
They head to the Island Championships the weekend of Nov. 8 to 9, in Sannich, BC.
