Comox Valley girls to play for provincial title in March

The U13 North Island Impact Female A Zone hockey team had a great tournament over the weekend.

The team, which includes Comox Valley girls Brooklyn Petty, Harper Tufnail, Poppy McKenzie and Norah Harrison, won the Island District Championship on Feb. 22. The team had a decisive 6-3 victory in the third game of a three-game series against the Victoria Reign.

That puts them in the running to play for the provincial title in Prince George.

The tournament will be from March 20 to 23.
