CYMC introduces a few new personnel to start the new year

A group of art friends who have painted and shared their passion for more than 10 years are excited to show their work at the Pearl Ellis Gallery from Jan. 13 to Feb. 5. Thirteen artists from the Wet Paint Art Group, hailing from Courtenay, Comox, Black Creek, and Campbell River, plan to delight the senses with their fresh array of new paintings and 3D artwork.

The fifth North Island Writers Conference runs from Friday, Jan. 7 until Sunday, Jan. 23. This virtual event is hosted by Comox Valley Writers Society and North Island College, with support from sponsors: Peninsula Co-op, CV Regional District Arts and Culture Program, and the Comox Valley Record. We are grateful for their contributions.

Live music is back at the Big Yellow Merville Hall and to kick off the beginning of a concert series, mandolin maestro, John Reischman, with his band, the Jaybirds, will be rocking the hall on Friday, Dec. 10 from 7:30 鈥� 10 p.m.
