Dear Editor,

At this unprecedented time of threat to our country, all across Canada people are signing The Pledge For Canada. The Pledge lays out five principles designed to protect our democracy and well-being and by signing it, a message is sent to our leaders to encourage them to work across partisan divides to protect our interests.  

The five principles lay out that we need to develop a collaborative, all-of-Canada approach; to assert and protect our sovereign right to shape our own destiny and protect our democracy; to reduce our dependence on the US by diversifying trade and build the Canada we want; to give priority to protecting nature and preserve control over our land and water; and to build alliances with like-minded countries and collaborate with them to build a better world.  

Musicians, politicians, indigenous leaders and most importantly, ordinary citizens everywhere are signing the Pledge to send a message to our leaders that we are united in supporting these principles. Please sign The Pledge For Canada and help keep Canada Strong! .
