Dear Editor,

In the fifty years since I first came to Canada, I have been pleased to fly the flag.

I went back to my hometown in the UK one time, and there was a Canadian Coast Guard cutter with the maple leaf flag, and I felt homesick for here!

But I was supremely embarrassed for that flag when it was used in that dreadful trucker protest in Ottawa back in 2022. Now, however, I shall be proud to fly the flag on my car's aerial and house because of the stance people have taken to rally around and support Canadian businesses. 

It's time that we realized we have so much to offer to each other, and time for entrepreneurs to step up and fill those gaps, instead of us sending our money to the USA. We've got so much talent, and many hard-working folk here, that will make Canada a real force at home and and abroad.
