When I decided to run for the nomination for the BC Green Party in the Mid Island-Pacific Rim riding, it was with the belief that they shared my vision for the future.

I’m Scott Fraser and I’m running as your BC NDP candidate in Mid Island-Pacific Rim. I’ve been an MLA for the past 12 years and I’ve seen the real harm that Christy Clark and the BC Liberals have caused. The BC NDP platform will make life more affordable for people. We’ll get rid of Medical Services Plan fees, build 114,000 rental and co-op homes, and provide an annual renters’ rebate of $400. We’ll eliminate interest on student loans and provide students a $1,000 completion grant.

Changes to the electoral boundaries have created new challenges for the residents of Cumberland and the Baynes Sound communities – Royston, Union Bay and Fanny Bay. The strong, effective representation from MLA Don McRae has served the residents of Comox-Courtenay very well, and I intend to keep up that fine tradition.
