Because of the interest in attending a live concert in the great outdoors, Kitty Coleman Woodland Gardens is bringing back the ever-popular duo of Anela Kahiamoe and Luke Blu Guthrie on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 2:30 pm.
Each of these musicians has created quite a following in their own right but when you put the two together they create a dynamic that keeps bringing fans back for more.
Known for their versatile approach to keeping audiences entertained, they bring the best of their unique styles of jazz, country, blues, along with a touch of Hawaiian and rock to create a vibe that is sure to help bring out some joie de vivre during this pandemic.
Because of the size of the gardens, there is certainly no problem with social distancing. In addition, because of COVID-19 restrictions the audience is limited to only 50 people. Because of this, reservations are required by calling 250-338-6901. There is a $20 admission charge which also includes admission to the gardens so you can enjoy a walk through the nearly 25 acres before or after the concert.
“We want to keep everyone safe,” says Bryan Zimmerman, the owner of the gardens. “So we ask that patrons keep in mind all the protocols that the Health Authority has put in place.”
He also recommended that concert-goers should bring their own chairs and refreshments so they can enjoy the concert in comfort.
Kitty Coleman Woodland Gardens is located at 6183 Whitaker Road just a 15-minute drive north of Courtenay.
