The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) is developing a local area plan for the Saratoga Beach area and is inviting community members to share their vision for the area’s future.

The Saratoga Beach Local Area Plan (LAP) will guide future growth in the community, focusing on land use, housing, transportation, infrastructure, and other community needs. The plan will provide detailed policy guidance for this specific area of Electoral Area C, building on the CVRD Regional Growth Strategy and the Rural Comox Valley Official Community Plan.

“The Saratoga Community is a special place in the Comox Valley. As we develop the local area plan we want to have the community part of the process" said Electoral Area C Director Edwin Grieve. "Your feedback is essential to developing a plan that reflects the community’s vision for the future."

Community feedback is key to the LAP’s development. The CVRD will be engaging with Saratoga Beach residents, business owners, community groups, local First Nations, and other partners throughout the year to help shape the plan.

A survey has been launched on Engage Comox Valley at . Submit your feedback before May 12th and follow the project to stay up to date on important details.

An open house has been planned for May 5. Come speak to staff and provide your feedback on vision, goals of the Local Area plan, share your key issues, and learn more about next steps. The open house is at Oyster River Fire Hall (2241 Catherwood Road, Black Creek) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
