After four long years, it鈥檚 time to come together and celebrate the strength of our community at the highly anticipated Pride in the Park event.

Hosted by the Pride Society of the Comox Valley, this free, all-ages, family-friendly festival promises a day of fun, food, music, and togetherness.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Aug. 26, and meet at Simms Millennium Park right after the Comox Valley鈥檚 first Pride Parade (hosted by Queer Culture), for a festival that鈥檚 set to bring smiles, celebration, and a sense of unity. The event will take place at Simms Park on unceded, traditional K鈥檕moks Territory.

鈥淐elebrating Pride is not just a party; it鈥檚 a profound assertion of the right to be, the right to love, and the right to belong,鈥� said Pride Society board member Marusha Taylor. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a statement that echoes through generations, reminding us that our queer community鈥檚 journey is one of resilience, courage, and boundless love. Join us at Pride in the Park on Aug. 26 as we honour our past, revel in our present, and step into a future where acceptance knows no bounds.鈥�

This accessible event will be a hub of excitement with something for everyone. Indulge in delicious food and snacks from local vendors, explore informative community organization booths, engage in kids鈥� activities that will keep the little ones entertained, and shop for unique items from various stalls.

What鈥檚 a celebration without music? Get ready to dance, sway, and sing along to an incredible lineup of live performances. The stage will be graced by talents such as Patti Savard, DJ DazM, Fieramente Queer & Trans Choir, as well as fabulous drag performances by Amanda Luv, Kitty鈥檚 Kabaret, PM, and Continental Breakfast. Their performances promise to create an electric atmosphere that will leave you wanting more.
