The Red Cross Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP) is looking for people to help out, volunteering in a reception role.

"This office is run by volunteers who dedicate four hours a week to serve the public," a release from the HELP program says. "At present our 鈥淭eam鈥� of volunteers is aging and we are in need of two or three new people to keep our office productive five days a week."

The HELP program takes referrals for people who need specialized medical equipment 鈥� anything from wheelchairs to bath lifts 鈥� and loans them out. However, with a few volunteer vacancies and staffing levels as they are currently, they are struggling to meet their demands.

"Each day we have a team of two that manage the front desk, answer the phone and fill requests for equipment," the release says. "We have a support team of technical people and a supervisor that assist in keeping the operation running smoothly."

Volunteer duties will include data entering, filing requests for equipment, responding to phone inquiries, and receiving loaned equipment as it is returned.
