Black Creek hosts wildfire preparedness event

Macaulay Road and Area Neighbourhood Association is hosting a Community Wildfire Preparedness Event on May 3, 2025 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Bear Creek Park, 2700 Macaulay Road in Black Creek.

May 3rd is National Wildfire Preparedness Day and FireSmart Canada is sponsoring the event.

Enter the draw to win a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit. 

The event is open to the public. Oyster River Fire Rescue will provide information on Firesmart, Comox Valley Regional District Emergency Programs will talk about the Neighbourhood Emergency Preparedness Program and Horse Council BC's Representative will talk about their disaster preparedness programs.

This is a family and dog friendly event.
