Comox Valley pickleball players rallied for the cause on Sept. 9, when they congregated at the Rotary Highland Pickleball with dozens of bags of non-perishable items for the Comox Valley Food Bank - officially kicking off the Thanksgiving Food Bank Drive. Food bank executive director Dave Reynolds (front far right) graciuously accepted the donations.

The 2023 Thanksgiving Food Drive was given a great start with the participation of Comox Valley pickleball players from Cumberland, Courtenay, and Comox.

The players gathered at the Highland Rotary Courts bringing bags of non-perishable items and monetary donations. Executive director of the Comox Valley Food Bank, Dave Reynolds, was on hand to collect all the donations, with many helping hands loading the food bank truck.

Bags are currently being delivered to homes in the Comox Valley. To contribute place non-perishable items in the bag and deliver them to your local grocery store where you will see bins with the poster attached. To contribute money you can E-transfer to, comoxvfb@shaw.ca. Thank you for supporting the Comox Valley Food Bank.
