PHOTOS: Vancouver Island life after Mother Nature paints it white

People from many Vancouver Island communities work and play through Jan. 17 snowfall

With a rare crush of snow hitting Victoria, local families took advantage of the frosty slopes of Beacon Hill Park to do some sledding on Wednesday (Jan. 17).

It was just one of many examples of Vancouver Islanders working and playing through the snow.
