Playing like a well-oiled machine, the Comox Valley Glacier Kings won a couple of squeakers on the weekend.

Dr. Wayne Halliwell, sports psychologist for three Olympic medallists at the 2010 Winter Olympics, provided motivational training last weekend at the Granville Arts Club on Granville Island.

The Strathcona Nordic Ski Club (SNSC) braved frosty -20 C temperatures and an epic drive to race in the BC Cup #1 in Prince George last weekend.

The Ecofish Whalers women鈥檚 hockey team was in town on the weekend playing their first home games of the season. Being forced to play most of their games out of town due to very little ice availability in the Comox Valley, the Whalers had yet to play in front of their family and friends.
