A new winger will join the Tridents ranks in the new year.

Ronan Kratt, a 21-year-old forward who has played soccer in Canada, the U.S. and Germany, signed a two-year guaranteed contract with Pacific FC, with a 2027 club option.

Most recently, Kratt played for SV Werder Bremen – a fifth-level team in the German football league – where he made 34 appearances between 2022 and 2024, scoring 14 goals.

“We are excited to add Ronan in our attack,” James Merriman, Pacific FC's head coach, said in a news release. “He is a very direct and powerful attacking player who is focused on the goal. He has very strong athleticism, he can attack and defend from the front and he brings the energy that we need in our team and for our fans.”

Born in Ottawa, the footballer played youth soccer for Ottawa South United, then spent two years at the Barca Residency Academy in the U.S. before committing to Carleton University’s varsity men’s soccer program.

Though he began training with the university outfit in 2020, Kratt never suited up for the team and opted instead to play for SSV Ulm 1846 – a soccer club based in southern Germany.

Kratt returned to Canada in 2022 to join York United. He was later selected for Canada’s U-20 team in 2022 and represented the country in two friendly matches that year.
