Hockey squad of Comox Valley and Campbell River players wins tourney in Nanaimo

This past weekend at the Harbour City Classic Hockey Tournament in Nanaimo, a group of 12 hockey players from the Comox Valley and Campbell River went undefeated to capture the coveted gold medal in the Nanaimo Spring Hockey Tournament’s 2015 born division.

This past weekend at the Harbour City Classic Hockey Tournament in Nanaimo, a group of 12 hockey players from the Comox Valley and Campbell River went undefeated to capture the coveted gold medal in the Nanaimo Spring Hockey Tournament’s 2015 born division.

The Harbour City Classic hosted teams from all over Vancouver Island and mainland B.C.

The 2015 ‘Team Canada’ rolled through the round-robin stage with a staggering 44 goals and only three goals against, to head into Sunday’s playoff games as the No. 1 seed.

Team Canada faced a physical team from Maple Ridge called the 2015 WC Wolverines in the championship game.

Team Canada stormed out to. 4-0 first-period lead and won the game, 10-3.
