Dear editor,
The Comox Valley chapter of the Steelhead Society of BC thanks BC Hydro for its wise management of Comox Lake this summer.
Last year BC Hydro allowed the surface level of the lake to go below the mark of 131 metres above sea level in September, which was dangerous to users and a threat to the community’s water supply. This year Hydro kept the level at or above 132 metres, which was both safe and cautious.
Our thanks for doing a good job for fish and for people.
Larry Peterson,
Chair, Comox Valley chapter, Steelhead Society of BC
