Dear editor,
According to the info in the council agenda for the November 21 meeting, Comox councillors were already paid 26 per cent above the average for an Island municipality.
Still, the councillors thought they deserve a raise - even before completing their first council meeting.
The 2017 tax changes cost approximately 92 per cent of Canadian families more - in fact, $2,218 more per year on average. Perhaps you could vote all Canadian families a raise?
David Parkinson,
Comox
