Dear editor,
In response to North Island-Powell River MP Rachel Blaney鈥檚 invitation for input on the changes to MAiD (medical assistance in dying) legislation, I believe that we鈥檙e going down a very slippery slope.

Canada鈥檚 constitution and laws were/are based on Biblical values and the Ten Commandments 鈥� the Sixth Commandment, being 鈥淭hou shalt not kill.鈥� That鈥檚 serious.
Life and death decisions should not be a legal matter. It seems we are trivializing the sanctity of life which is a precious gift from God; therefore, it should be His decision.
When the rules get changed it creates more 鈥済rey鈥� areas which cause confusion and division.
There really is only one truth and I believe we should abide by it.
