LETTER - Former Courtenay councillor unimpressed with the condition of city streets, buildings

Dear editor,

Dear editor,

This morning, I took a walk along Fitzgerald on my way downtown. I was not happy with what I saw.

All the garden patches on the corners that used to be so beautiful were an unsightly mess. The roadway is in terrible shape.

Then, I walked down by City Hall where across the street, the city-owned building is in an awful state.

Even our City Hall is in need of paint.

This is not the way it should be. One wants to be proud of how their city looks.

This is a message to our city council. Let’s spruce things up a little bit.

Erik Eriksson,

Courtenay
