Dear editor,
I have concerns regarding our local vaccination rollout here in the Comox Valley. We were to have two clinics but then at the last minute, they cancel the location on England Avenue due to it being totally unsuitable. So now we only have the location by the hospital.
Have you checked the hours this clinic is open? Online it says 9:30-3:30!
And apparently, there are not many spots to get the shot at one time, especially since you need to stay for 15 minutes after. Just a handful of nurses. Where is the organizing committee and their oversight? We are living in a stressful time. We don’t need to be further stressed by such a poor rollout. Things have to be adjusted. Other provinces have a much better-organized system.
I had to share my thoughts. I don’t like feeling helpless, but unfortunately, that is what is happening.
Jolyne Moffatt,
