VISAS planning reunion at the end of May

Following back-to-back weekend games against the Parksville Seagals, the Comox Valley Breakers women鈥檚 hockey team saw its first consecutive wins of the season.

Courtenay Recreation鈥檚 gymnastics program participants showed their skills at the 60th annual Comox Valley Gymnastics Championships March 7.

The Strathcona Nordic ski team finished the season in style at the BC Championships March 6-8 in Kelowna. The athletes put all their training to the test with great results.

Imagine this scenario: you and your husband attend a boater鈥檚 education program.

The Comox Valley Pool League (CVPL) sent a contingent to the B.C. Championships in Penticton, Feb. 25-March 1, and returned with a wall鈥檚 worth of plaques, and wallets full of cash.

Ten years ago, the Comox Valley Ringette Association started with a small masters team and a youth team comprised of children seven to 12. Growth was slow at first as people learned about the sport and word spread, but over the last couple of years registration has increased by more than 25 per cent each year. This meant a record turnout for the West Coast Classic in Richmond this January and another win for the masters team.

On Saturday, March 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Comox Tennis Club (175 Stewart St.) will open up for the 2020 season.
