The Mt. Washington Ski Club is excited to welcome young alpine skiing athletes to the Teck Coast Zone Finals Races on April 5 to 6 at Mount Washington Alpine Resort. This thrilling event will bring together some of the most promising athletes from the U12, U14, U16, and U19 categories, aged 10 through 18, from across the Coast Zone, showcasing their skills in an action-packed weekend of racing.

Competitors will take on two challenging race disciplines: a Slalom (SL) on Saturday and a Mixed Team Dual Slalom on Sunday. Saturday鈥檚 Slalom will feature two runs, challenging competitors to showcase their technical skills. Sunday鈥檚 Mixed Team Dual Slalom will include at least two qualifying runs for each team, followed by knockout rounds to determine the top team. Each team will feature a mix of age groups, abilities, genders, and clubs, adding an exciting dynamic to the competition.

At least 150 athletes representing top ski clubs, including Whistler, Cypress, Grouse, Seymour, Sasquatch, and Mount Washington, will be competing for podium finishes. These talented young skiers, hailing from Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Sea to Sky Country, and Vancouver Island, have been training diligently all season in preparation for this high-caliber competition. This event marks the final competition of the season in the Coast Zone, making it a thrilling conclusion to months of dedication and hard work.
