Two-car collision on Cliffe Avenue and 3rd Street

RCMP reports no serious injuries

At approximately 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, a collision occurred involving two cars at the junction of Cliffe Avenue and 3rd Street. An RCMP officer present at the scene informed the Record that none of the individuals involved in the accident suffered significant injuries.

“It was just a quick collision… the damage (sustained by the two cars) is not super extensive,” the officer mentioned. “Everybody is walking away from here.”

The Courtenay Fire Department was at the scene, closing off intersections for the safety of road users. Meanwhile, a tow truck was actively removing the car from the roadway at around 2:20 p.m.
