PHOTOS: 2024 Graduation ceremony for Glacier View Secondary

A cohort of 25 students graduated for this year’s ceremony

Parents, friends, loved ones, and Glacier View staff gathered at Courtenay’s Simms Millenium Park on Thursday (June 20) at 1 p.m., to celebrate the graduation of 25 students.

Elder Donna Mitchell opened the ceremony with a customary land acknowledgement. Shortly after, this year’s valedictorians, Maddie Amazzal and Romana Goodwin, delivered an impassioned speech about their journey through high school.

Following the two's address, Glacier View principal Karma Taiji, alongside teachers, presented this year’s cohort as every graduate went across the stage to receive their diplomas in front of an attentive crowd.
