Parents, friends, loved ones, and Glacier View staff gathered at Courtenay鈥檚 Simms Millenium Park on Thursday (June 20) at 1 p.m., to celebrate the graduation of 25 students.
Elder Donna Mitchell opened the ceremony with a customary land acknowledgement. Shortly after, this year鈥檚 valedictorians, Maddie Amazzal and Romana Goodwin, delivered an impassioned speech about their journey through high school.
Following the two's address, Glacier View principal Karma Taiji, alongside teachers, presented this year鈥檚 cohort as every graduate went across the stage to receive their diplomas in front of an attentive crowd.
