A celebration of summer is alive at the Pearl Ellis Gallery during its Summer Members’ show, running now until Sept. 14.

The exhibition features the work of 58 local artists, with a diverse range of artwork.

The opening reception is on Aug. 24, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.. Artists will be available to meet while the public can view their work and enjoy refreshments.

The exhibition features an array of styles and mediums from professionals to new talents.

“This is the second piece in a series honouring our fragile ecosystems. In Ancient Cedar Forest, I imagined painting the sounds, smells, and movement of our trees and wildlife. I draw inspiration from the deep lines of growth and regrowth within these icons,” said artist Lynda Glover about her painting.

The Pearl Ellis Gallery is located in downtown Comox at 1729 Comox Ave.
