L’Arche Comox Valley has recently announced a new community leader and executive director, Lynda Brosko.

She assumes the role from Hollee Card who has retired after 39 years.

L’Arche is a charity that has been in the Comox Valley for more than 24 years, providing support for adults with intellectual disabilities and outreach to those living in home shares and at home on their own.

“The leaders that have come before me have laid a strong foundation,” said Brosko in a press release. “I look forward to working with L’Arche, the Comox Valley community, support organizations and local and provincial government to continue to provide the much-needed support for community members with developmental disabilities.”

Brosko has called Vancouver Island her home for almost 30 years, with much of her career in management supporting people who face multiple barriers. Before L’Arche Comox Valley, she was the director of operations for Footholds Therapy Center in Courtenay.
