Fare changes coming to BC Transit in the Comox Valley

Changes start on Oct. 1
17896264_web1_190729-VNE-BCTransit-Electric
BC Transit bus.

Starting Oct. 1, 2024, BC Transit in the Comox Valley Regional Transit System (CVRTS) will stop the sale of legacy 10 single ride ticket, adult, student/senior and post-secondary monthly pass and semester pass fare products for fixed route transit services. Instead, CVRTS will move to the Umo enable alternatives.

Fare can be uploaded to the Umo app, to a reloadable Umo card in-person through a BC Transit Umo retail vendor, online at ca.umopass.com or through Umo customer service at 877- 380-8181.

CVRTS will still accept cash and the British Columbia’s BC Bud Pass. Legacy tickets and fare products will be accepted until they are used up.

HandyDART services will continue to sell 10 ticket and monthly fare products without changes.
