Cumberland’s Victoria Day in pictures

A lively parade marks the end of Cumberland’s 135th Victoria Day celebration

After 10 days of celebration, Cumberland marks the end of Canada’s oldest Victoria Day celebration on May 22.

The day kicked off with the long-awaited Thunderballs lottery. After a three-year hiatus, 4,000 golf balls raced down Dunsmuir Avenue to amass funds for the Cumberland Community Schools Society.

The parade followed shortly after and captivated hundreds of onlookers with its colourful participants streaming down the village’s main street.
