Due to the predicted drop in nighttime temperatures starting today, March 3, and continuing throughout the week, the Extreme Weather Response (EWR) Shelter will be acitivated this evening.
The EWR will remain open until the extreme weather is no longer present in the Comox Valley.
The shelter is located at 971 Cumberland Road, Courtenay.
It opens at 8:30 p.m. and stays open until 7:00 a.m..
There are a total of 18 mats available, for those 19+.
The EWR is operated by the Lookout Society and Health Society.
