Comox Valley’s Glacier Grannies host afternoon of music

The Glacier Grannies are holding an afternoon of live music at Comox’s Marina Park Gazebo on Aug. 25 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m..

The concert will feature Watershed Band and Lyall and Isabelle. 

Watershed Band is made up of Jane Dunnet, John Brown and Keith Goddard who perform a mix of folk, country, rock and blues music. They have played many venues in the Comox Valley. The band brings together guitar, harmonica, mandolin, bass and lap steel and three-part harmonies.

Lyall and Isabelle are a husband and wife duo who bring inspiration for their music from French and Prairie roots with experience gathered from time spent in Argentina, Spain, Costa Rica, Mexico and France. They sing in a mixture of French, Spanish and English. 

Donations for the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign of the Steven Lewis Foundation will be gratefully received.  These funds will support the community-based organizations in sub-Saharan Africa that generate transformative and life enhancing changes in their communities.
