The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) is in phase three of the regional parks and trails strategic plan process. This guide will plan how the CVRD manages and invests in developing the new regional parks and trails system over the next 20 years.
Input has already been received from the K’ómoks First Nation, interest groups, partners and the broader community through phase one and two that helped shape the direction of the strategic plan.
From Sept. 17 to Oct. 15, the regional parks and trails strategic plan is being shared with all interested parties to review and identify comments for consideration in finalizing the plan later this fall.
Community members are encouraged to submit comments via the online form.
“It has been really exciting working through the development of this service with all of those involved over the last year. We look forward to finalizing the plan this fall and implementing this strategic plan to benefit conservation and recreation opportunities in our region for years to come,” said Vickey Brown, Chair of the Regional Parks and Trails Committee.
