The Comox Rotary Club is collecting specific goods that have been requested by the evacuation center in Prince George through Disaster Aid Canada.

They are looking for 3,000 towels, 3,000 sheets and 3,000 blankets which are clean, with no rips, tears or stains. As well they are looking for personal hygiene items such as:

Soap

Shampoo

Conditioner

Lotion

Deodorant

Toothbrushes

Toothpaste

Combs/brushes

Kleenex

Nail clippers

Shaving cream

Disposable razors

Feminine hygiene products

These items can be dropped off at either the Comox Fire Hall or the Courtenay Fire Hall from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

They can be dropped off on Monday to Friday this week from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Valleyview Elementary School, 2300 Valleyview Road, Courtenay.

We only have until next Saturday to get the items together, but the centre requires it ASAP.
