Wednesday night Bingo Nights in support of the Cumberland Community Schools Society (CCSS) are back and running throughout the summer.

鈥淲e have been hosting CCSS Bingo Nights for nine years now and it continues to be a valuable fundraiser for us as well as being a lovely community event,鈥� said Kate Ashton, program co-ordinator for CCSS in a press release. 

CCSS Bingo Nights are at the Cumberland Legion, every Wednesday, with doors opening at 6 p.m., and the first half starting at 6:30 p.m.The second half of the night starts at 8:00 p.m. This is a cash-only event. 

鈥淵ou don鈥檛 need any previous bingo experience to come out and play,鈥� said Ashton, 鈥渨e love having new players come and learn and are happy to teach them the ways of bingo.鈥� 

Funds raised from bingo nights support CCSS programming, including the Healthy Food Program, free After School Activities, Mamacentric, drop-in youth centre and the Cumberland food bank.
