Trio to play Cumberland and Denman Island

There will be singing and dancing Thursday night at the Avalanche Bar as the Georgia Straight Jazz Society presents the infectious Cuban style rhythms and soulful lyrics of Sweet SantaFe.

The next 1st Tuesday Fundraiser sponsored by the Mex Pub, on Oct. 1, will feature Easy Street, Annie Handley and Dave Devindisch, raising funds to support a GoFundMe campaign for Daryle Lechinsky, an Island musician who is in Vancouver awaiting a heart transplant and, subsequently, a long stay in Vancouver while recovering.

Melody and swing will be at the forefront as the Georgia Straight Jazz Society presents the Bill Street Quintet on Thursday Night Jazz at The Avalanche Bar.

The public is invited to an afternoon concert featuring two pianos, with eight hands on board!

Old-time string duo the High Quadra Ramblers are embarking on a B.C. fall tour. HQR has been playing festivals all over B.C. this past summer while recording their second full-length album in Duncan. The fall tour schedule brings them to Cumberland鈥檚 own Studio Live, Sept. 27.

Time Well Wasted is unchallenged as the hottest dance band in the Comox Valley and beyond. Over 19 years, nearly 60 musicians have played with the band and without a doubt, the current line-up of outstanding musicians is the strongest.
