McLachlan to headline Friday July 14 lineup

Their music centres around honest vocals sweetened with multi-part harmonies, acoustic instruments

The Pearl Ellis Gallery presents 鈥淭rading Spaces: a New Canadian鈥檚 Landscapes鈥� by Dr. Jonathan Reggler from March 21-April 8.

Shouts of 鈥淲hoop! Whoop! Whoop!鈥� can be heard these days coming from Courtenay Little Theatre鈥檚 rehearsal space. Laughter, yoga balls, hula-hooping, mirror games, romance, tears and inner self-discovery are all part of rehearsals for the play Circle Mirror Transformation, directed by Catherine Hannon.

When Vancouver Island MusicFest executive director Doug Cox announced Angelique Francis as one of his acts for this summer鈥檚 festival, he said, 鈥淪he is one of the hottest things going in the Canadian music scene right now. She is being nominated for awards every time she turns around.鈥�

After several weeks of small ensembles, it鈥檚 time to present an 18-piece big band.

Creature Comforts presents a curated collection of Vancouver Island artists, seven from right here in the Comox Valley: Jacques De Backer, Penny Eder, Ian Fry, David Heath, John Janzen, Josephine Olivier, Ina-Griet Raatz von Hirschhausen and Karen Segee.

Comox Valley鈥檚 Quarantones male chorus invites you to join them as they 鈥渢ake a plunge鈥� into their Wade in the Water concert series on March 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Weird Church in Cumberland and March 25 at 2:30 p.m. at Comox United Church.
