Greetings to all voters in the Comox Valley,
I believe the provincial election should and could be won on best plan and commitments to address health care, homelessness, drug addiction and housing.
Regarding homelessness and addiction in your riding, (and the province), the situation is ridiculous and getting worse.
To candidates in the Comox Valley, I ask the following;
1. What is your “community specific” plan in the Comox Valley for infrastructure ie: shelters, Orca Place-style housing (a supportive housing development in Parksville), in-patient rehabilitation, mental health treatment and social housing.
2. Have you consulted with city councillors, city staff, regional district and experts to support your plan?
3. Is your plan based on best practices and focused on stabilization and recovery?
4. Does your party support the capital budget for your plan?
5. Most importantly, tell us the goals and timeline for your plan.
Upcoming all candidates meetings and local media are excellent forums to present your plan. I encourage all voters to contact your candidates to share their plan via phone, email and in person.
Bobby Peters,
Parksville
