Why are we wasting money on a pedestrian bridge that most people will never use when there are more important issues like the traffic congestion that is only getting worse with all the new condos and apartments being built in the Valley?
It would be better spent on widening the road to four lanes between Superstore and the 17th Street bridge so we aren't bottle-necking at each end?
Why do we still have a lift bridge for non-existent boats on a dead end channel?
Replace the bridge with a five-lane bridge that has a dedicated turning lane for Comox, since half the traffic goes that way and cannot get to it because of the cars that block it to turn left into the merge lane.
