Mark your calendars for Sunday, Aug. 18, and head to the Comox Marina Park for a day filled with fun and excitement, at the Comox Bike Co YANA Ride Party in the Park.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., riders, families and YANA supporters will enjoy interactive activities and live entertainment including local bands and DJs. 

The celebration promises tons of fun for the whole family, including bouncy castles, face painting, and giant yard games. Attendees can also sample delicious seaside snacks, enjoy the beer garden, and participate in a silent auction.

All registered riders should arrive between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to collect their prizes, generously donated by event sponsors. Participants donning their 2024 rider鈥檚 bib will receive a 15 per cent discount on regular-priced parts, accessories and clothing at Comox Bike Co., and the top 200 fundraising riders will also receive their original 2024 YANA Ride t-shirts, courtesy of lead sponsor, Quantum Dental Group.

One lucky YANA supporter will take home the growing 50/50 jackpot and one will win two economy class return tickets for travel to any Air Canada scheduled destination in North America, including Hawaii, Mexico and the Caribbean, thanks to the Air Canada Foundation. 

A golf ball drop will be a new addition to the 2024 Party in the Park. Up to two thousand numbered golf balls will be sold for $10 each, and dropped from the top of a Comox Fire Department ladder truck. The people with the three golf balls that land closest to the pin will share in $5,000 cash prizes.  

Remember, the YANA Ride event costs are covered completely by sponsors, so 100 per cent of the funds raised will be used directly to support YANA families travelling for children鈥檚 medical needs.
