Hamilton Lau is an outstanding, energetic young pianist from Vancouver named by the CBC as one of 鈥�30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians Under 30.鈥� The North Island Registered Music Teachers鈥� Association is excited to host Lau in recital on April 6, 2:00 p.m. at the Stan Hagen Theatre, Courtenay (North Island College campus). The recital will feature works by Beethoven, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Ligeti and Wijeratne.

Lau is the winner of the BC Registered Music Teachers鈥� Association Piano Competition in 2024 and was selected for the 鈥淵oung Artist鈥� 2025 tour of BC, sponsored by the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers鈥� Association. Lau has won many awards and piano competitions, and currently studies at UBC with Corey Hamm.
