Stardust7, a brand new shiny jazz collaboration, comes to Simms Park on Sunday, August 20 at 7 p.m. as part of the free Simms Concert Series.

Stardust7 will present authentic versions of songs made famous by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Tony Bennett all beautifully complemented by the powerhouse vocals of Kevin Ayers.

Ayers is supported by an elite six-person jazz combo that includes Grahame Edwards (bass) Michael Eddy (keys), Paul Nuez (trombone), Jack Reynolds (tenor/flute), Dave Lymberner (trumpet) and Rob Peterson (drums).

The and is dedicating the Aug. 20 performance to the life, times and epic music contributions of the late, great Tony Bennett. The music legacy of Bennett and that of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin remains lasting and relevant to this day. The Stardust7 repertoire is from that very special era of music, the unforgettable lyrics and the clever arrangements, all converge for a memorable evening of fine musicianship.

Simms Millennium Park is located by the 5th Street Bridge and across from Lewis Park. Please bring your own lawn chair or blanket.

The last featured Simms Park performance of the Simms Concert Series is with world-class songwriter Jeff Plankenhorn on Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. A food bank drive will also be included as part of the Aug. 27 concert.
