The Old Time Fiddlers playing in Campbell River earlier this year.

Those who missed seeing the Old Time Fiddlers at the Comox Valley Exhibition this year get another chance to catch them this weekend.

The fiddlers are kicking off the fall season with a public dance on Sunday, Sept. 22 at the Fallen Alders Hall on Royston Road.

The event is family friendly, with no alcohol served. People who have kids with boundless energy are welcome to bring them along.

"as long as they don’t run amok, they can dance to their heart’s content," a release from the fiddlers says. "Bring your in-laws, as long as they don’t run amok, they also, can dance to their heart’s content."

The Old Time Fiddlers musicians are dedicated to ensuring you have a good time. The tunes they play are guaranteed to get your toes tapping, even if you don’t want to dance. You can just watch and listen, if you prefer. There will even be a smattering of songs, and maybe a guitar or piano feature, or two. It’s not all fiddles.

This group of musicians has been playing for residents of the hospitals and care homes in the Comox Valley for well over thirty years, and they love to see people enjoying their music.

There is a $10 admission fee for adults, but for anyone under the age of 18, accompanied by an adult, there is no charge. The music starts at 1:30,Everyone is welcome.
