Lavender and Lefty are playing in Royston, Sept. 28.

Vancouver Island music duo Lavender and Lefty will be bringing the hits to the Roy's Towne Pub in Royston on Sept. 28.

The eclectic duo is aiming to entertain, bringing their songs and stories about robberies, road trips, jailbreaks and heartaches, your best dog and your worst date.

The duo is made up of Linda Lavender and Kenny "Lefty" Brault. They're both talented with multiple instruments like guitar, upright bass, mandolin, claw-hammer banjo, voices and words. The show will feature mostly original compositions, but there will be a smattering of hits thrown in, "but played like never before."

Only one year in, the duo has been taking Vancouver Island by storm.

The show has no cover charge. The event starts at 6 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m. at the Roy's Towne Pub, 4000 South Island Highway.
